The Pueblo Suicide Prevention Centers Crisis Intervention Services:
24-Hr.
HELP LINE 544-1133 is available every day, year round
24-Hr. TEEN CONNECTION 564-5566 Staffed by teens for
teens with adult supervision Monday thru. Friday 4pm - 9pm
Calls on both lines are handled by trained (40hrs), screened
volunteers who determine the nature of the situation, spend time listening to the caller,
and refer the caller, if needed, to persons who can offer further professional help. This
"befriending" is the listening, accepting, understanding, caring FRIENDSHIP - of
a volunteer who personally cares.
Victim Support
This program provides one to one in office or on site counseling,
including critical incident debriefing. Victims can also call the Help line at any time for
support. Support is for anyone who is a victim of any crime or sudden trauma.

There is no cost to the victim. Funding for this program is provided by the local
VALE Board.
Professional Counseling
Short term crisis intervention one to one, in office, counseling is
offered by professional staff. There are no charges for this service, however you must
call for an appointment.
Community Education & Awareness Training
Is also offered to the community based on availability of
staff. Call the office for further information.
Heartbeat
This a self help group for people who have a lost loved one through
suicide. This program is not affiliated with any religion, creed or denomination. The
healing achieved within this group is the result of understanding, encouragement and
caring among the participants.
HEARTBEAT is facilitated through the sponsorship of the Pueblo
Suicide Prevention Center. There is no cost for attending these support meetings. In
addition, one to one professional counseling is offered by appointment in the office, for
those needing individual or family grief counseling at no cost.
